COO · Transformation Executive
I started my first company at 16 — and have thought like an entrepreneur ever since. Trained as a software developer, moved into project management early and never looked back. Over the past 20+ years I've led transformation programmes, post-merger integrations, and operational units across organisations of all sizes — programmes in large groups, P&L ownership in mid-market structures. My territory is organisations with 150 to 2,000 people, where decisions actually land.
Today I'm COO of Educas GmbH, responsible for operational infrastructure & performance, strategic projects, and AI enablement for the group. My focus is here — I occasionally speak at events and join selected conversations where I can genuinely contribute.
A note on the name: 'von Massenbach' is a Swabian surname with several contemporary carriers. I'm the one running operations at Educas GmbH — based in Nuremberg, focused on AI-in-operations and post-merger integration in the German mid-market.
Building the operational backbone: ERP landscapes, KPI infrastructure, AI deployment, and the governance that makes it stick. From strategy to the system that delivers it.
Built for complexity. Whether you're integrating two cultures, two tech stacks, or two P&Ls — I've run that programme. Day-one readiness, synergy realisation, carve-out execution.
PE boards need executives who can build, not just manage. I help leadership teams sharpen accountability structures, establish operating cadences, and build the talent infrastructure that holds up under scale.
My focus is Educas. Beyond that, I take on a very small number of board conversations each year — on post-merger integration, AI-in-operations, and mid-market COO challenges where my hands-on experience adds something specific. Not framework consulting. A working peer who has been in the room when it gets hard.
I write when I have something worth saying.
Rarely — and always from direct experience.
